Use the book to begin understanding the principles that can help you stop making the situation worse, regain clarity, and start moving your marriage in a better direction.
If you're dealing with separation, divorce, loss of attraction, intimacy problems, infidelity, or a spouse who is pulling away, general information may not answer the most important question:
What should you do in your specific situation?
In a private 60-minute Discovery Session, we'll look at what's actually happening in your marriage, what may be making the situation worse, and what your next best steps may be.
The hardest part isn’t necessarily the absence of sex. It’s realizing that the woman who once made you feel desired no longer seems interested in touching you, kissing you, or even turning to you emotionally.
And when your wife never initiates affection anymore, something changes inside you.
You start noticing every rejection.
You remember when she used to reach across the couch to touch your arm. Walking down the street, she would naturally hold your hand. Sometimes she initiated intimacy without you having to say anything.
Now you’re the one making every move.
Even worse, your efforts to restore that connection seem to make her withdraw further.
I’m Ola, coauthor of Get My Marriage Back, and I’ve experienced this personally.
My wife and I recently celebrated 19 years of marriage. But around eight or nine years into our relationship, we experienced a major crisis that changed how affection showed up between us.
Before that crisis, I never kept score of who initiated physical affection.
Why would I?
When your wife naturally makes you feel wanted, you simply enjoy it.
But when something you’ve enjoyed for years suddenly disappears, its absence becomes impossible to ignore.
And how you respond to that disappearance can determine whether you create more emotional distance or begin rebuilding the conditions for attraction.
Why Your Wife Stopped Initiating Affection
When your wife stops initiating physical affection, your first instinct is usually to find out why.
“What’s wrong?”
“Is everything okay?”
“Why don’t you kiss me anymore?”
Then come the answers that make everything worse.
“Nothing.”
“I’m fine.”
“Nothing’s wrong.”
You know something has changed, but you cannot get a meaningful explanation.
That’s when fear begins filling the gaps.
You start wondering whether your wife is no longer sexually attracted to you, whether someone else has her attention, or whether your marriage is quietly approaching divorce.
Those possibilities deserve careful attention, but none can be established from the absence of affection alone.
The more important question is what has changed in the emotional experience of your marriage.
Physical affection doesn’t exist in isolation. It is connected to emotional responsiveness, desire, trust, stress, and the experience two people create around each other.
In fact, research published in Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin found that feeling a partner was responsive predicted subsequent affectionate touch. The researchers also observed that affectionate touch could contribute to the partner’s perception of responsiveness.
The important distinction is that demanding more touching does not automatically create the emotional conditions that make someone want to initiate it.
Affection is an expression of connection, not proof you can demand whenever you feel insecure.
When Your Wife No Longer Needs You Emotionally
I worked with a man whose experience illustrates how quickly this crisis can escalate.
He and his wife had been together for eight years before getting married. After another thirteen years of marriage, they had shared more than two decades of their lives.
Then his business collapsed.
He found himself dealing with millions of dollars in debt, and for approximately eight months, trying to revive the business consumed his attention.
He was overwhelmed.
During that period, there were times his wife wanted affection, and he simply wasn’t in the mood.
Eventually, he began noticing something different.
His wife no longer initiated affection.
At first, that seemed like the central problem. But as we examined his situation, something more significant emerged.
She began taking multiple girls’ trips during the summer and insisted on going without him.
That behavior was unfamiliar in their marriage.
He started panicking.
His natural response was to initiate more affection, read marriage advice, attend therapy, and make changes he believed would win her back.
But she seemed to keep slipping away.
Then he told me something that revealed the deeper crisis.
His wife used to cry on his shoulder whenever something upsetting happened at work.
He was the person she turned to.
Now she seemed completely disconnected.
No tears.
No emotional vulnerability.
No desire to bring him into her inner world.
And after twenty-one years together, he began wondering whether she simply didn’t need him anymore.
The loss of physical affection hurts. The loss of emotional significance can make you panic.
That’s where many husbands begin making mistakes that unintentionally intensify the distance.
5 Mistakes When Your Wife Never Initiates Affection
1. Interrogating Her About Why She Doesn’t Want You
When affection disappears, you naturally want answers.
The problem begins when every conversation becomes another investigation into your wife’s feelings.
You ask why she doesn’t kiss you. When she gives a short answer, you press harder.
Soon, even an ordinary evening becomes another opportunity to question the relationship.
This creates a recognizable demand-withdraw pattern: one partner pushes for engagement while the other increasingly avoids the conversation.
Research on marital conflict has repeatedly associated this pattern with negative emotional exchanges and difficulties resolving conflict.
Your desire for clarity is understandable.
But repeatedly demanding reassurance can turn emotional connection into an obligation.
Stop treating every moment of distance as an emergency requiring an immediate explanation.
2. Initiating More Affection to Test Whether She Still Wants You
You reach for her hand, but you’re not simply enjoying the possibility of holding hands.
You’re watching how she responds.
When you kiss her, you’re measuring whether she kisses you back enthusiastically enough.
Even your attempts at intimacy become tests.
Does she still want me?
Is she rejecting me?
Am I losing my marriage?
The problem is no longer the affectionate gesture itself. It’s the emotional pressure attached to the gesture.
Genuine pursuit communicates interest without making the other person’s response responsible for your self-worth.
Fear-driven chasing demands evidence that you’re still desirable.
Those are two very different experiences.
If your wife doesn’t welcome a particular touch, respect that boundary without turning the moment into an argument.
Attraction needs room for genuine choice.
3. Trying to Earn Attraction Through Endless Changes
You begin reading books, watching marriage advice, improving your appearance, and doing more around the house.
Those changes can be valuable.
But there’s a dangerous assumption underneath them when you’re trying to save your marriage.
You believe that doing enough good things should produce the affection you’re missing.
So when your wife doesn’t respond, you become frustrated.
After everything you’ve changed, why isn’t she attracted to you again?
Because attraction isn’t a payment issued for completing a list of improvements.
Being responsible, dependable, and hardworking matters. But those qualities don’t automatically create romantic desire.
Experiential value is different.
It’s about what being around you actually feels like.
Are your interactions dominated by tension, disappointment, and emotional pressure?
Or are you becoming more grounded, engaging, emotionally intelligent, and comfortable in your own identity?
Being a good person and creating an attractive experience are related, but they are not identical.
4. Confusing Being Needed With Being Desired
This mistake is particularly painful when you’ve spent years providing for your family.
You work hard.
You handle responsibilities.
You sacrifice to create stability.
Then your wife becomes emotionally distant, and suddenly you wonder whether everything you’ve contributed means nothing.
It doesn’t mean nothing.
But providing stability and inspiring desire are different dimensions of marriage.
In the case I described earlier, the husband’s deepest fear wasn’t simply that his wife stopped initiating intimacy.
He feared becoming irrelevant to her.
She no longer came to him with her problems. She was making independent plans, and he felt left behind.
The temptation was to become more necessary.
But trying to make your wife depend on you is not the same as becoming someone she genuinely enjoys connecting with.
Being needed is not the same as being desired.
A healthier form of attraction allows your wife to maintain her independence while experiencing your presence as something valuable, enjoyable, and freely chosen.
5. Making Her Affection the Measurement of Your Worth
This is the mistake that holds the others together.
Your mood depends on whether she kisses you.
Your confidence rises when she touches you and collapses when she turns away.
One affectionate evening convinces you the marriage is recovering.
One distant morning sends you back into panic.
Now your emotional stability is being controlled by responses you cannot command.
That instability changes how you behave.
You become reactive, hypervigilant, and increasingly preoccupied with obtaining reassurance.
Your wife is no longer simply your partner. She has become the person you depend on to confirm that you’re still worthy of love.
That is an exhausting emotional arrangement.
And it undermines the very qualities that make someone engaging and attractive.
How to Rebuild Attraction When Your Wife Doesn’t Initiate Intimacy
Here is what I want you to do.
Instead of concentrating exclusively on how to make your wife initiate affection again, focus on becoming someone who creates a different emotional experience.
That starts with GPS: Grounding, Purpose, and Self-Discovery.
Grounding: Stop Letting Her Reactions Define You
Grounding means returning to a source of truth bigger than your wife’s latest response.
Her emotional distance is real.
Your disappointment is real.
But neither determines your entire identity.
Reconnect with your principles, gratitude, spiritual foundation where applicable, and the values that guide how you carry yourself.
When your wife withdraws, you don’t have to respond with another interrogation.
You can acknowledge what is happening without surrendering control of your emotional behavior.
Purpose: Rebuild a Life Bigger Than the Marriage Crisis
When you’re desperately trying to save your marriage, the relationship can consume every waking thought.
You stop pursuing meaningful goals.
Your friendships weaken.
Everything becomes about getting your wife back.
Purpose redirects your energy toward a mission, contribution, and legacy greater than any single person, including yourself.
That doesn’t mean pretending you don’t care about your marriage.
It means refusing to abandon the rest of your identity while working toward reconciliation.
A man with meaningful direction brings a different presence into his relationships than someone whose entire emotional world depends on receiving affection.
Self-Discovery: Reclaim What You Can Control
Self-Discovery is not an invitation to blame yourself for your wife’s withdrawal.
It’s an opportunity to recognize your own capacity.
Examine how you respond to rejection, disappointment, uncertainty, and fear.
Can you express interest without demanding reassurance?
Can you remain warm without becoming intrusive?
Are you able to respect her independence without immediately interpreting it as proof that your marriage is over?
Those are emotional intelligence skills.
And they influence the experience you create around yourself.
The Real Connection Between Emotional Intelligence and Sexual Attraction
A more attractive marital experience is not created through manipulation, jealousy, or pretending to be unavailable.
It’s built through authentic behavior, emotional intelligence, confidence, playfulness, responsiveness, and self-respect.
Research on romantic desire has found an association between perceived partner responsiveness and sexual desire, particularly when responsiveness makes a partner feel special and valued.
That doesn’t mean becoming endlessly accommodating.
It means learning how to give authentically but mindfully.
I call this GAME:
Giving Authentically but Mindfully with Emotional intelligence.
You can express affection without chasing.
Show interest without interrogating.
Be playful without forcing sexual tension.
Give your wife room to approach you without punishing her when she doesn’t.
Seduction in a long-term marriage is not about tricks. It’s about creating an experience in which warmth, curiosity, attraction, and desire have room to emerge naturally.
And that begins with how you carry yourself when the affection you want isn’t immediately available.
Why Understanding Attraction Isn’t Enough
You can understand everything I’ve explained and still return to the same behavior tonight.
Your wife comes home.
She barely acknowledges you.
Then she walks into another room.
Suddenly, all your understanding disappears.
You want to ask another question, initiate another conversation, or explain how much you’ve changed.
That’s habitual behavior returning under emotional pressure.
Psychological research on habits shows that familiar contexts can activate established responses with relatively little conscious deliberation.
You need more than information to interrupt those patterns consistently.
That’s where GPS5 becomes important.
GPS establishes the foundation. Four additional elements support execution:
Story-Tailoring: Understand the circumstances, history, and emotional dynamics of your particular marriage.
Skill-Acquisition: Practice emotional intelligence and authentic, mindful giving rather than relying on good intentions.
Support: Maintain perspective when rejection and uncertainty distort your interpretation.
System: Establish reliable responses to familiar emotional triggers instead of improvising from fear.
These elements help transform insight into consistent behavior.
Can You Save Your Marriage When Your Wife Isn’t Attracted to You?
A marriage crisis involving lost affection is serious, particularly when emotional withdrawal has been developing for months.
But don’t confuse the current absence of desire with a complete explanation of your marriage’s future.
Attraction is influenced by emotional experiences, relationship patterns, stress, personal circumstances, and how people respond to one another over time.
You cannot manufacture your wife’s desire by demanding it.
What you can do is change the emotional experience you contribute to the relationship.
Stop making every interaction an investigation.
Replace fear-driven chasing with genuine, respectful interest.
Build confidence around a meaningful life rather than constant reassurance.
Become more intentional about your emotional presence, responsiveness, and personal direction.
Most importantly, understand that your job isn’t to make your wife initiate affection tonight.
Your job is to become someone who can offer connection without demanding it, express desire without losing dignity, and remain grounded even when the response you want doesn’t arrive.
That’s where the work of rebuilding attraction begins.
Why does my wife never initiate affection anymore?
Your wife may have stopped initiating affection because of unresolved relationship tension, emotional disconnection, stress, changes in desire, or other personal circumstances. The pattern deserves attention, but it doesn’t automatically mean she has stopped loving you.
What should I do when my wife never initiates intimacy?
Stop using intimacy as a test of whether she still wants you, and focus on emotional responsiveness, respectful pursuit, and rebuilding your own confidence. Make room for genuine affection without pressuring her to provide reassurance.
Can a marriage survive without physical affection?
A marriage can continue without frequent physical affection, but persistent differences in intimacy needs can create serious dissatisfaction. Addressing the emotional dynamics behind the distance is more productive than ignoring it or demanding physical contact.
How do I get my wife attracted to me again?
Focus on creating a more emotionally engaging experience through confidence, self-leadership, playfulness, responsiveness, and genuine interest. Attraction cannot be commanded, but you can improve how you show up and interrupt behaviors that intensify emotional distance.
Your wife says she loves you, but she no longer touches you, initiates intimacy, or looks at you with the desire she once hadโand the harder you try to bring her closer, the further away she seems to get.

That contradiction is one of the most frightening experiences you can have in a marriage.
You remember when affection happened naturally. She reached for you, expressed love without being prompted, and enjoyed being close to you.
Now, even your presence seems to irritate her.
You ask whether she still loves you. She says yes, but the answer doesn’t match the emotional distance you experience every day.
And you’re beginning to wonder whether your marriage is slowly ending.
I want you to understand something important: Love and sexual attraction are not the same experience.
Your wife can care about you, appreciate your history, and value the life you’ve built while struggling to experience romantic or sexual desire.
That doesn’t automatically mean the marriage is finished.
But it does mean you need to understand what’s happening before your attempts to repair the relationship create even more distance.
Why Your Wife Says She Loves You but Isn’t Sexually Attracted to You
Attraction rarely disappears because of one ordinary disagreement.
In many struggling marriages, emotional disconnection develops through repeated interactions that gradually change how two people experience each other.
Conflict creates resentment. Resentment changes how affection is received. Emotional pressure makes ordinary interactions exhausting.
Eventually, what used to feel natural begins to feel like an obligation.
The problem becomes especially serious when you respond to her withdrawal by increasing your pursuit of reassurance.
You want to restore closeness.
She experiences pressure.
You become more anxious.
She withdraws further.
Your intention is connection. Your impact is pressure.
That’s the contradiction I want you to recognize.
It doesn’t mean affection is wrong. It means the way you express affection, the timing, and the emotional expectations attached to it matter.
And when you’re desperately trying to save your marriage, those distinctions become critical.
A Seven-Year Marriage That Almost Ended Over Emotional Withdrawal
I worked with a husband who had been married for approximately seven years.
When he described the beginning of their relationship, he remembered being the first to say, “I love you.”
There was nothing wrong with that.
Expressing affection first is not a weakness. Taking initiative in a relationship can be healthy and attractive.
But over time, something changed.
He became the person initiating almost every expression of affection.
Whenever conflict appeared, he apologized first.
When she seemed distant, he tried harder to reconnect.
And when he became uncertain about her feelings, he asked whether she still loved him.
During the final three years before he sought help, his wife rarely volunteered those words.
The familiar question became:
“Do you still love me?”
She would answer.
But her response never gave him lasting peace.
Before long, he needed reassurance again.
Meanwhile, his wife became increasingly frustrated by his presence.
Eventually, she told him:
“I don’t think we belong together.”
That’s when he came to us.
The disturbing part of this story is that he genuinely loved his wife.
He wasn’t indifferent to the marriage. He wasn’t refusing to make an effort.
In fact, he was making enormous efforts.
Unfortunately, he didn’t understand the difference between demonstrating commitment and creating an emotionally desirable experience.
That distinction brings us to five mistakes that can deepen attraction loss.
Mistake 1: Asking “Do You Still Love Me?” Until Reassurance Loses Its Meaning
When your wife stops expressing affection voluntarily, the silence becomes difficult to tolerate.
You begin looking for evidence that the marriage is still safe.
“Are we okay?”
“Do you still love me?”
“Are you still attracted to me?”
The questions themselves aren’t inherently unreasonable.
The problem begins when reassurance becomes something you repeatedly demand to calm your anxiety.
Now, your wife isn’t simply responding to a question.
She’s being placed in the position of managing your emotional state.
Even when she answers positively, you remain uncertain because the reassurance wasn’t spontaneous.
That creates a cycle.
Her withdrawal increases your anxiety. Your anxiety produces more questions. Those questions create pressure, and the pressure contributes to further withdrawal.
Researchers call a related interaction pattern demand-withdrawal.
In a 2025 study published in the Journal of Sex Research, researchers examined 151 couples discussing sexual conflict. Greater demand-withdrawal behavior was associated with lower sexual and relationship satisfaction and greater sexual distress; lower relationship satisfaction was also observed at a 12-month follow-up.
The research helps explain why repeated pressure around intimacy deserves serious attention.
You cannot interrogate your way into genuine desire.
Attraction must have room to exist without being demanded.
Mistake 2: Apologizing Repeatedly Without Changing the Experience
During a crisis in my own marriage, my first instinct whenever Lola was upset was to apologize.
Lola and I recently celebrated 19 years of marriage.
About ten years ago, we experienced a crisis that nearly ended our relationship.
It wasn’t the dramatic scandal people often imagine when they think about marriage breakdown.
Attraction was deteriorating, resentment was building, and our responses to conflict were making the situation worse.
I thought apologizing was the responsible thing to do.
And sometimes it absolutely was.
When you’ve genuinely hurt someone, accountability matters.
But I eventually had to confront an uncomfortable truth:
An apology is not a substitute for changing the experience you’re creating.
If you apologize repeatedly while continuing the same behaviors, your words lose their effectiveness.
Worse, you can begin apologizing for things you haven’t even identified simply because you want your wife to stop withdrawing.
Now the apology isn’t really about accountability.
It’s about obtaining emotional relief.
That’s an entirely different dynamic.
Take responsibility for actual mistakes, but stop using apologies as a tool for extracting affection.
A meaningful apology acknowledges specific harm and is followed by changed behavior.
Mistake 3: Confusing Constant Pursuit With Building Attraction
One of the biggest misconceptions in marriage advice is that more affection automatically produces more attraction.
More compliments.
More messages.
More explanations.
More declarations of love.
More attempts to initiate intimacy.
But attraction is not simply a reward for effort.
Think about the experience you’re creating.
When your wife has become emotionally distant, every additional attempt to secure affection can make her feel that another response is expected from her.
This doesn’t mean you should become cold, deliberately unavailable, or emotionally punishing.
That would simply replace one unhealthy pattern with another.
Instead, understand the difference between dignified pursuit and fear-driven chasing.
Dignified pursuit expresses genuine interest while respecting the other person’s autonomy.
Fear-driven chasing makes your emotional stability dependent on receiving the response you want.
The distinction is subtle, but its impact is enormous.
Attraction requires emotional freedom.
You can express love without insisting that your wife immediately return it.
You can show interest without making every interaction a test of whether she still desires you.
And you can remain warm without constantly trying to close every moment of emotional distance.
This is the art of emotional intelligence in attraction.
Mistake 4: Assuming Being a Good Husband Automatically Creates Sexual Desire
You work hard.
You provide for your family.
You remain committed to the marriage.
Perhaps you’ve sacrificed opportunities, invested years into building a home, and stayed loyal through difficult seasons.
Then your wife tells you she loves you but isn’t sexually attracted to you.
It’s painful because you believe your commitment should count for something.
And it does.
But being a good person and creating an attractive interpersonal experience are different things.
I call this distinction moral worth versus experiential value.
Your moral worth is not determined by your wife’s desire.
Experiential value concerns what it feels like to interact with you.
Does your presence create warmth, interest, emotional steadiness, and genuine enjoyment?
Or have your interactions become dominated by anxiety, resentment, defensiveness, and repeated attempts to obtain reassurance?
Research supports the importance of this distinction.
A 2016 study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that perceived partner responsiveness was associated with greater sexual desire, particularly among women.
The researchers explored how feeling understood, valued, and special contributes to desire.
The lesson isn’t to become endlessly agreeable.
It’s to develop the emotional intelligence to create interactions where another person feels respected and genuinely engaged.
Experiential value creates room for curiosity. Curiosity can support attraction.
And attraction opens opportunities for deeper connection.
Mistake 5: Allowing Her Withdrawal to Control Your Identity
This is where many people lose themselves.
Your wife doesn’t touch you, so your confidence collapses.
She seems annoyed, so you become anxious.
She doesn’t initiate intimacy, so you begin questioning your entire identity.
Before long, your daily emotional condition depends on how she responds to you.
That is an exhausting way to live.
It also makes it harder to respond skillfully when conflict appears.
You need an internal foundation that doesn’t disappear whenever your spouse withdraws.
That’s where I teach GPS: Grounding, Purpose, and Self-Discovery.
Grounding: Return to Your Source of Truth
Stop treating your wife’s immediate response as the final authority over your identity.
Her attraction matters to your marriage, but it doesn’t determine your worth.
Ground yourself in your higher self, your values, gratitude, and the responsibilities within your control.
This is not pretending the crisis doesn’t hurt.
It’s refusing to let that pain dictate every decision.
Purpose: Build a Life Bigger Than the Crisis
When your marriage is struggling, it can consume every waking moment.
You monitor her expressions.
You analyze her messages.
You replay conversations and search for signs that attraction is returning.
That attention eventually becomes a prison.
Redirect some of that energy toward your mission, your work, your health, your contribution, and the legacy you want to build.
Your purpose must be bigger than obtaining another person’s approval.
That independent direction is part of becoming emotionally grounded and genuinely engaging.
Self-Discovery: Examine the Person You’re Becoming
Look honestly at your behavior without turning self-reflection into self-blame.
Are you expressing affection because you genuinely want to give?
Or because you desperately need reassurance?
Are you apologizing because you’ve identified a mistake?
Or because you want the discomfort to end?
These questions help you distinguish authentic love from fear-driven reactions.
Self-discovery gives you the capacity to choose your response instead of repeating the same behavior automatically.
How to Rebuild Attraction Without Begging for Intimacy
Now let’s make this practical.
Suppose your wife walks past you tonight without touching you.
Previously, you would immediately become anxious.
You might ask whether she’s upset, whether she still loves you, or whether the marriage is okay.
Then, if she responded coldly, you would apologize or try even harder.
That’s the old pattern.
Your new response begins with emotional composure.
Recognize the withdrawal without immediately interpreting it as proof that your marriage is over.
Allow the moment to exist without demanding reassurance.
Continue showing warmth, respect, and authentic interest without turning affection into a transaction.
If there is a genuine issue requiring accountability, address it directly.
Otherwise, stop treating every uncomfortable interaction as an emergency you must immediately resolve.
This is not about withholding affection to manipulate her.
It’s about developing the ability to express affection freely, with emotional intelligence and respect for boundaries.
A seductive relationship experience isn’t built through pressure.
It develops through authentic connection, confidence, responsiveness, playfulness, and the freedom for desire to be mutual.
That includes understanding that physical intimacy must remain freely chosen.
If pain, medication, hormonal changes, chronic stress, or other health concerns are contributing to reduced desire, those realities also deserve attention rather than being interpreted automatically as rejection.
Why Understanding Attraction Isn’t Enough: The GPS5 Principle
You can understand everything I’ve explained and still return to your old habits tonight.
GPS establishes your internal foundation, but sustained execution requires additional skills.
I teach four supporting elements:
Story-Tailoring: Understand the specific history, behaviors, and emotional dynamics operating in your marriage.
Skill-Acquisition: Develop emotional intelligence through deliberate practice rather than relying on good intentions.
Support: Maintain perspective when rejection, anxiety, and fear distort your judgment.
System: Build a consistent way of responding when familiar emotional triggers appear.
Together, these principles form GPS5.
The objective is to move from reacting automatically to responding intentionally.
This is also where GAME becomes relevant: Giving Authentically but Mindfully with Emotional intelligence.
You express love because you choose to give, not because you’re trying to force an immediate return.
You remain attentive without becoming controlling.
And you develop a more attractive relationship experience without abandoning your dignity.
Can You Save Your Marriage When Your Wife Has Lost Attraction?
Yes, attraction can change within a marriage.
But the first question isn’t how to make your wife desire you again.
It’s whether you understand the behaviors, emotional dynamics, and patterns contributing to the current distance.
You can’t rebuild attraction effectively while repeatedly creating the pressure that undermines it.
Start by recognizing what has changed.
Perhaps your wife no longer initiates intimacy.
Maybe she says she loves you but doesn’t feel romantic attraction.
She may have become emotionally withdrawn, stopped expressing affection, or started questioning whether the marriage should continue.
These are serious signs of relationship distress.
They deserve more than generic advice to communicate more or apologize more.
You need the emotional intelligence to understand the experience you’re creating and the self-leadership to change what remains within your control.
My client didn’t need another speech convincing his wife that he loved her.
He needed to understand why his expressions of love were increasingly experienced as pressure.
That’s a very different problem.
And it requires a very different approach.
Your job is not to force your wife to say she loves you. Your job is to become capable of creating a healthier, more attractive relationship experience without losing yourself in the process.
Can my wife love me but not be sexually attracted to me?
Yes. Emotional attachment, commitment, and sexual desire are related but distinct experiences, so your wife can genuinely love you while experiencing reduced sexual attraction.
Why does my wife never initiate intimacy anymore?
Reduced initiation can reflect resentment, emotional disconnection, stress, health changes, differing desire levels, or pressure surrounding intimacy. Pay attention to the broader relationship pattern rather than treating one behavior as proof she no longer loves you.
Can sexual attraction come back in a marriage?
Yes, sexual desire can change as emotional connection, relationship experiences, and personal circumstances change. Rebuilding attraction begins with understanding the causes of disconnection and creating conditions where intimacy feels desirable rather than demanded.
How do I save my marriage when my wife isn’t attracted to me?
Start by reducing reassurance-seeking and pressure, taking responsibility for specific mistakes, respecting boundaries, and strengthening your emotional self-leadership. Focus on creating a better relationship experience instead of trying to force affection or immediate reconciliation.
Your wife says she loves you. She may still care about you, raise children with you, laugh with you, sleep next to you, and consider you an important part of her life.

She rarely initiates intimacy. Kissing has lost its energy. Sex feels mechanical, negotiated, infrequent, or completely absent. Affection may still exist, but you no longer feel wanted.
Eventually, one thought starts following you everywhere:
โMy wife loves me but is not sexually attracted to me. What does that actually mean for my marriage?โ
That question hurts because love and desire feel like they are supposed to travel together.
They don’t always.
The first distinction I want you to understand is this:
Love and sexual attraction are related, but they are not the same experience.
Your wife can genuinely love you and still experience a major loss of sexual attraction. That does not automatically mean your marriage is over, but it does mean something in the romantic experience of the marriage deserves your attention.
Research supports the broader point that sexual desire naturally changes over the course of long-term relationships. A systematic review of long-term desire research found that desire is dynamic rather than fixed and is influenced by multiple individual and relationship factors
The danger begins when rejection convinces you that your job is to force attraction back as quickly as possible.
That instinct is understandable.
It is also where many people make the crisis worse.
Truth #1: Less Sex Does Not Automatically Mean Your Wife No Longer Loves You
When sexual intimacy disappears, your mind wants a clean explanation.
You may conclude:
โShe doesn’t love me anymore.โ
โShe must be attracted to somebody else.โ
โMy marriage is dead.โ
โI must not be good enough.โ
โShe’s only staying because of the children.โ
Any of those possibilities can exist in a particular marriage, but sexual rejection alone does not prove them.
A lower level of desire can be connected to stress, accumulated resentment, relationship dissatisfaction, health issues, emotional disconnection, sexual pressure, predictable routines, exhaustion, changing life circumstances, or differences in how desire is experienced.
Research has also examined responsive desire, meaning desire that develops in response to sufficiently appealing sexual or relational cues rather than always appearing spontaneously beforehand. That matters because the absence of spontaneous initiation does not necessarily tell you everything about someone’s capacity for desire.
So when your wife never initiates intimacy, you want to take the symptom seriously without turning one symptom into a complete diagnosis.
The question is not simply:
โHow do I get more sex?โ
A better question is:
โWhat has changed in the experience of this marriage, and what am I creating on my side of that experience?โ
That question gives you something useful to work with.
Truth #2: Sexual Rejection Becomes More Dangerous When You Turn Sex Into Proof
One of the easiest mistakes to make is using sexual intimacy as your marriage scoreboard.
Your wife touches you affectionately and your mind immediately says:
โMaybe tonight.โ
She kisses you differently and you think:
โShe wants me again.โ
Two good nights happen and you conclude:
โWe’re finally fixing this.โ
Then she pulls away again.
Suddenly you feel devastated.
Now every interaction carries a hidden question:
Does she desire me yet?
That is what I mean by turning sex into proof.
You stop experiencing intimacy and start investigating it.
Instead of a kiss being a kiss, it becomes evidence.
Instead of sex being an experience between two people, it becomes confirmation that you still matter.
Instead of rejection being one disappointing moment, it becomes a verdict about your masculinity, desirability, and marriage.
That creates enormous emotional pressure.
The pattern developed in this teaching begins with rejection and quickly progresses into testing, begging, proving, pressure, and then renewed rejection.
Truth #3: Trying Harder Can Make You Less Attractive
This is the counter-intuitive part.
Your wife becomes less sexually responsive, so you become more attentive.
You initiate more.
You increase compliments.
You become unusually agreeable.
You start doing things around the house you never cared about before.
You organize dates.
You buy gifts.
You repeatedly ask how she feels.
None of those behaviors are inherently unattractive.
Your emotional motivation changes their meaning.
There is a major difference between expressing genuine interest and performing for reassurance.
When the hidden message underneath your behavior becomes:
โPlease respond positively so I can feel okay again,โ
you are no longer simply giving.
You are asking for emotional payment.
The delivered teaching makes the same distinction between dignity-based pursuit and fear-driven chasing: pursuit expresses genuine interest while maintaining your Personal Power; chasing is driven by panic and an urgent need to change the other person’s response.
People often feel that emotional difference even when nobody says it aloud.
Truth #4: Pressure Is Especially Dangerous Around Sex
Sexual attraction does not respond well to obligation.
You cannot logically argue someone into desire.
You cannot demand enthusiasm.
You cannot negotiate genuine curiosity into existence.
Research gives this distinction real weight.
Across two dyadic studies involving 103 couples in one study and 147 couples in another, researchers found that sexual experiences driven more by autonomous reasonsโpleasure, genuine value, and personal choiceโwere associated with greater satisfaction and desire. More controlled or pressured sexual motivation was associated with poorer outcomes. (PubMed)
That doesn’t mean you stop expressing sexual interest.
It means you stop making your interest a demand for immediate validation.
This becomes especially important when you’re thinking:
โMy wife is not sexually attracted to meโwhat should I do?โ
Start by removing the emotional assignment.
Your wife cannot be responsible for having sex with you so you can feel attractive.
She cannot be responsible for initiating enough times per month to keep your confidence stable.
Her body cannot become your Personal Power meter.
Once that happens, every โnoโ becomes a psychological emergency.
Pressure rises.
Attraction usually does not.
Truth #5: Your Wife’s Attraction Is an Experience, Not a Moral Judgment
When someone says, โMy wife is not attracted to me,โ the sentence often quietly becomes:
โTherefore, something is wrong with me.โ
That’s where shame enters.
Then you compare yourself to other people.
Is another man more attractive?
Am I too old?
Did I gain weight?
Do I make enough money?
Am I boring?
Does she respect me?
Those questions can become obsessive because rejection attacks your sense of significance.
I want you to separate value from moral worth.
When I talk about becoming more valuable in attraction, I am not saying you are a more worthy human being than somebody else.
I am talking about the experience of being around you.
Are you grounded or constantly anxious?
Interesting or completely consumed by the marriage crisis?
Emotionally intelligent or reactive?
Purposeful or waiting for your wife’s next reaction?
Playful or permanently serious?
Present or constantly testing?
Confident enough to hear โnoโ without collapsing?
Capable of expressing desire without demanding reassurance?
That is experiential value.
The original framework puts the work back on your capacity rather than manipulating your wife. As the constructive side develops, Grounding leads into Purpose, Self-Discovery, Value, and ultimately the possibility of Curiosity & Attraction.
That gives you a much stronger place to operate from.
Truth #6: The Roommate Marriage Is Usually Bigger Than the Bedroom
When a wife treats you like a roommate, the obvious symptom is often sexual.
The deeper problem is usually experiential.
Your conversations may revolve around children, groceries, schedules, money, work, chores, and logistics.
You function well.
You cooperate.
You manage life.
But the romantic energy has disappeared.
Everything becomes predictable.
Attraction rarely thrives when two people experience each other primarily as household administrators.
That does not mean you need theatrical date nights or manipulative โseduction techniques.โ
It means you need to understand what has disappeared from the experience of you.
Curiosity matters.
Play matters.
Autonomy matters.
Emotional responsiveness matters.
Purpose matters.
A sense that you remain a developing human being rather than a permanently available household fixture matters.
Research on partner responsiveness offers an important piece of this. Across three studies, researchers found that perceived partner responsivenessโfeeling understood, validated, and cared forโwas associated with greater sexual desire, particularly under certain relationship conditions. (PubMed)
Notice what that does not say.
It does not say:
โBecome endlessly available.โ
It does not say:
โAgree with everything.โ
It does not say:
โPerform kindness until your wife owes you attraction.โ
Emotional responsiveness is not servitude.
It is emotional intelligence.
You can understand someone’s experience without abandoning your own center.
Truth #7: Attraction Is Rebuilt Through Capacity, Not Control
So what do you actually do when your wife loves you but doesn’t desire you?
Your goal is not to construct a life in which your wife never rejects you again.
Your goal is to develop the emotional capacity to experience rejection without returning to panic.
Grounding: Stop Letting Rejection Become Your Strategist
Rejection hurts.
Acknowledge that.
Then refuse to make pain your decision-maker.
Grounding means returning to a higher reference point before acting: gratitude, faith, perspective, emotional stability, health, responsibility, and the larger reality of your life.
Your marriage matters tremendously.
It is still not the only thing that makes your life meaningful.
The delivered framework describes grounding as returning to your higher self and source of truth rather than allowing the immediate emotional experience to control your interpretation of life.
This is where Personal Power starts returning.
Purpose: Stop Making Your Marriage Your Full-Time Occupation
A marriage crisis can consume every waking thought.
You wake up thinking about her.
You analyze breakfast.
You replay her tone.
You inspect text messages.
You think about sex.
You think about why you’re not having sex.
You search for signs.
You replay conversations.
You plan your next conversation.
Your entire psychological world becomes your marriage.
Purpose breaks that obsession.
Purpose means reinvesting pain into a mission larger than the immediate crisis.
Your health.
Your children.
Your work.
Your business.
Your spirituality.
Your creativity.
Your contribution.
Your friendships.
Your education.
Your legacy.
This isn’t a trick designed to make your wife miss you.
As a matter of fact, if you engage purpose solely to produce a reaction from her, you are still performing.
Purpose matters because your life should possess meaning even while your marriage is uncertain.
That change alone affects the experience of being around you.
Self-Discovery: Examine Yourself Without Turning It Into Self-Blame
Now you can ask better questions.
When did I become so afraid of rejection?
Where did my confidence become dependent on sexual approval?
Have I become predictable?
Do I communicate desire as interest or pressure?
What happens inside me when my wife says no?
Have resentment and frustration changed how I show up?
Did I stop developing?
Am I fun to be around?
Have I confused being a good husband with being an attractive human being?
Self-discovery requires curiosity rather than shame.
The original constructive teaching makes exactly that distinction: you examine yourself without self-blame so rejection becomes information rather than a determinant of your value.
This gives you room to grow instead of defend yourself.
Value: Become Experientially Attractive
Here’s where the word โseductionโ gets misunderstood.
Seduction is not trickery.
It is not withholding affection to manipulate somebody.
It is not pretending you don’t care.
It is not manufacturing jealousy.
Healthy seduction is the art of becoming an increasingly engaging experience.
You develop emotional control.
You take care of your body.
You develop purpose.
You become socially alive.
You communicate clearly.
You listen without collapsing.
You express sexual interest without turning it into a negotiation.
You become less predictable because you are actually growingโnot because you’re playing a game.
You regain confidence because you’re living from confidence-producing behaviors.
That is fundamentally different from announcing:
โLook how much I’ve changed.โ
Real value does not need a press release.
Curiosity & Attraction: Stop Trying to Manufacture the Outcome
Attraction is not the assignment.
It is an outcome.
Curiosity is not something you demand from your wife.
It naturally has more room to emerge when you stop presenting the same fearful, overavailable, approval-seeking experience every day.
This is where many people make one final mistake.
They start improving themselves and immediately monitor the response.
โShe touched me yesterday.โ
โShe laughed at my joke.โ
โShe seems warmer.โ
โDid it work?โ
Now they’re testing again.
That drops them right back into the destructive cycle.
Don’t turn personal growth into another attraction experiment.
What About Sex? Should You Stop Initiating Completely?
No universal rule says that you must stop initiating intimacy.
Rigid rules create new forms of fear.
The real question is what is driving your initiation.
Are you expressing genuine sexual interest?
Or are you asking for proof that you still matter?
Can you express desire and remain emotionally grounded if the answer is no?
Do you respect the response without sulking, withdrawing affection, arguing, or immediately asking what is wrong?
That’s the difference.
Research on sexual motivation repeatedly finds that autonomy matters. Sexual experiences driven by choice and genuine interest are associated with better sexual and relational outcomes than experiences dominated by pressure or obligation.
So yes, you can remain sexually expressive.
Just stop making sex responsible for stabilizing your identity.
โWhat If She’s Attracted to Someone Else?โ
This possibility frightens people because sexual rejection at home often creates immediate suspicion.
An affair or outside attraction can absolutely affect a marriage.
But you do not gain Personal Power by inventing evidence.
Your job is to deal with reality as it becomes available.
If there is credible evidence of infidelity, secrecy, deception, or another relationship, that becomes a different marriage-crisis problem requiring its own strategy.
Until then, obsession is not investigation.
Fear will happily create an entire affair inside your imagination before facts exist.
That statement does not mean you control another person’s feelings.
It means attraction itself can change.
Long-term desire research describes sexual desire as something that ebbs and flows rather than remaining at one permanent level.
Partner responsiveness has also been linked with increased desire, while autonomous sexual motivation is associated with stronger desire and satisfaction than Pressured Motivation.
That gives you an important distinction:
You cannot command attraction, but you can influence the environment in which attraction either struggles or has room to grow.
Pressure hurts that environment.
Begging hurts it.
Constant testing hurts it.
Performing for approval hurts it.
Emotional instability hurts it.
A chronically roommate-like experience can hurt it.
Grounding changes the environment.
Purpose changes it.
Self-discovery changes it.
Experiential value changes it.
Emotional intelligence changes it.
Healthy sexual expression changes it.
Curiosity has more room to breathe when pressure leaves the room.
Can my wife love me but not be sexually attracted to me?
Yes. Love, attachment, commitment, and sexual attraction overlap, but they are not identical experiences, and desire can fluctuate significantly throughout a long-term marriage.
Why is my wife no longer sexually attracted to me?
There is no single cause; stress, resentment, emotional disconnection, relationship dissatisfaction, health factors, predictability, sexual pressure, and changing desire can all play a role. Look at the overall marriage pattern rather than assuming one symptom provides the entire diagnosis.
Can a marriage survive without sexual attraction?
A period of low attraction does not automatically mean the marriage will end, particularly because desire can change over time. The more useful question is whether you can address the underlying relational experience without turning sex into pressure, proof, or obligation.
What should I do if my wife is not sexually attracted to me?
Stop treating her desire as the source of your confidence, reduce pressure, ground yourself, reinvest in purpose, examine your patterns without self-blame, and develop the experience of value you bring into the marriage. Attraction cannot be demanded, but you can become far more skillful about creating conditions that support curiosity, desire, and emotional connection.
Feeling like your wife loves you but doesnt desire you is one of the most painful, isolating experiences a husband can endure in a marriage.

When a relationship slips into a completely sexless routine, it’s easy to assume the romantic spark is dead permanently.
But there is a massive psychological difference between a woman losing her baseline love for you and her temporary lack of sexual desire.
If you constantly feel like your wife loves you but is not sexually attracted to you, you must stop overreacting.
This comprehensive guide breaks down exactly why the physical intimacy has stopped, how to interpret her emotional distance, and the exact steps you can take today to revive her desire without losing yourself in the process.
Few relationship struggles cut as deeply as feeling loved but not desired.
For many men, especially husbands, this disconnect can be devastating. But before you assume the worst, it’s important to slow down, understand what’s really happening, and recognize that this situation may not be as permanentโor as hopelessโas it feels.
Where Did This Conclusion Come From?
Before anything else, ask yourself:
How did I arrive at the belief that my wife doesn’t desire me?
Was it something she said or did she tell you directly that she’s no longer attracted to you?
Has intimacy decreased or disappeared?
Does she seem emotionally distant?
Have there been repeated rejections that left you feeling unwanted?
Or have you simply noticed a pattern over time and drawn your own conclusions?
Understanding the source of your belief matters because sometimes our conclusions are based on clear evidence, while other times they’re based on assumptions, fears, or interpretations that may not tell the whole story.
The more specific you can be about what led you here, the better equipped you’ll be to address it.
Love and Desire Are Not the Same Thing
One of the hardest truths to accept is that love and desire, while connected, are not identical.
A person can genuinely love you and still struggle with desire.
That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re lying when they say they love you.
Love can exist in many forms:
Commitment
Loyalty
Affection
Respect
Care
Partnership
Desire, however, is often tied to attraction, emotional connection, excitement, energy, and physical intimacy.
While love tends to be stable, desire can fluctuate.
That’s why someone can sincerely say, “I love you,” while simultaneously feeling disconnected from the romantic or sexual aspects of the relationship.
Understanding this distinction doesn’t remove the pain, but it helps explain why these seemingly contradictory realities can exist at the same time.
Why This Hurts So Much
For many men, being desired by their wife isn’t simply about sex.
It’s about feeling chosen.
Also, it’s about feeling valued.
It’s about feeling attractive, important, and significant in the eyes of the woman they love.
When that desire seems absent, many men don’t just experience disappointmentโthey experience a blow to their identity.
Questions begin to surface:
What’s wrong with me?
Am I no longer attractive?
Did I fail somehow?
Is she interested in someone else?
Is our marriage over?
The emotional impact can be severe because it touches on self-worth, masculinity, and the need for connection.
Take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally.
The stronger and more grounded you remain, the better positioned you’ll be to navigate the challenges in your marriage.
Every Man Wants Both
Let’s be honest.
Most husbands don’t just want love.
They want love and desire.
Also, they want affection and attraction.
They want commitment and passion.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting that.
Desiring to be desired by your spouse is natural.
It’s healthy.
It’s human.
The goal isn’t to convince yourself that love alone is enough when your heart longs for more.
The goal is to approach the situation wisely, recognize that desire can be rebuilt, and avoid making permanent conclusions based on temporary circumstances.
If you’re currently thinking, “My wife loves me, but she doesn’t desire me,” remember this:
Don’t confuse today’s reality with tomorrow’s destiny.
Desire is not always permanent.
Attraction can be restored.
Connection can be rebuilt.
Marriages can recover.
The most important thing you can do right now is resist panic, seek understanding, communicate honestly, and approach the situation from a place of strength rather than fear.
Because sometimes what feels like the end of desire is actually the beginning of discovering what has been missing all alongโand how to bring it back.
It can be difficult if it seems like your wife loves you but doesn’t desire you, but there are a few things you can do.
Weโve had a few people send these questions in and maybe you can relate in one shape, form or the other. Here we go before I share 5 tips to help you through a difficult time in your marriage.
โWife Has No Romantic Feelings For Meโ
My wife and I have been married for several years, but I have come to realize that she has no romantic feelings for me. We are content with our relationship as it is, and we both appreciate the bond we share.
โMy Wife Says She Loves Me But Doesn’t Show Itโ
My wife often tells me that she loves me, but I can’t help but feel like she doesn’t show it. She is often busy with work and other commitments, so it’s hard for her to find the time to express her love. I try to understand, but it’s still difficult for me to feel truly appreciated.
You Don’t Feel Desired By You Wife

My Wife Never Touches Me Anymore
“She used to be so affectionate, but now she seems distant and removed. I don’t know what I did wrong, but I fear that she may be cheating on me or is no longer interested in me. I don’t know how much longer I can take this.”
This kind of problem always start with a wife losing interest.
Let’s dive right in…
3 Signs That Your Wife Is Losing Interest
It can be difficult to tell if your wife is losing interest in you.
However, there are 4 of many other signs you can look out for.
Sign #3 – One common sign is if your wife starts to avoid sexual intimacy.
Sign #2 – If she stops taking care of herself physically or stops dressing up for you, this can also be a sign that she’s losing interest.
Sign #1 – Another sign is if she becomes critical or negative towards you.
If your wife shows any of these signs, it might be time to talk to her about your concerns and see if there’s anything wrong.
The Meaning of “Desire” In A Marriage
When we think of the word “desire,” we often think of our sex life in a marriage and sexual desire.
However, desire is much more than that.
Desire is a yearning or craving for something, someone or the presence of someone.
It can be a strong feeling or emotion that motivates us to take further desired action of course.
In a marriage, it is important for both spouses to feel desired by the other.
This can be accomplished in many ways, such as through words of affirmation, acts of service, and physical touch.
When both spouses feel desired, it builds intimacy and strengthens the bond between them.
Sexual desire is an important part of a marriage, but it is not the only type of desire that matters.
Spouses should strive to meet each other’s non-sexual desires as well, in order to create a fulfilling and lasting relationship.
That alone can help in boosting and/or sustaining sexual desires in the marriage.
What is the Difference Between Love and Sexual Desire?
When we think of love, we often think of feelings of warmth, happiness and affection.
Love is a deep, emotional connection that spouses have with each other.
It is a feeling of being drawn to someone, of wanting to be close to them and wanting to make them happy.
In marriage, however, love is not just a feeling of lust or passion.
It is much more than that because a long term relationship between 2 different human beings is involved.
Love is Action, Patient, Kind and Fifty Million Others Things.
Sexual desire, on the other hand, is a physical attraction that spouses feel for each other.
It is the desire to be intimate with someone, to touch them and to be touched by them.
Sexual desire can often be confused with love, but they are two separate things.
Sexual desire was traditionally not necessary in a marriage, but love was as a function of duty and responsibility.
However, things have changed and it will hurt your marriage if you dare attempt to discount the importance of feelings in modern day marriage.
There Is A Strong Relationship Between A Couple’s Sex Life, Love And Sexual Desire.
A couple’s sex life is often seen as the foundation of a healthy relationship, and is usually one of the first things to disappear when a relationship starts to deteriorate.
Love is often thought of as the emotional connection that couples share, and is what keeps them together over time.
Sexual desire, on the other hand, is what motivates people to have sex and is often seen as a physical manifestation of love.
“What Does it Mean When My Wife Loves Me But Doesn’t Desire Me?”
When a wife loves her husband but does not desire him, it can be a sign that there is something wrong in the underlying relationship.
It may be that the wife is no longer attracted to her husband, or that she is unhappy with the way things are going in the relationship.
If this is the case, then it is important for the husband to talk to his wife and find out what is wrong.
He should express his love for her and try to find a way to fix whatever is causing the problem.
By the way, she might not be able to explain this in words.
How Does Your Intimacy Affect a Marriage Relationship?
Your sex life is an important part of intimacy in your marriage and the underlying relationship.
It helps to keep the spark alive and allows couples to feel close to each other.
When there is not healthy level of intimacy (which is deeper than sex), everything else starts to feel wrong.
Your Sex Life Can Take Many Different Forms, Such As Talking And Touching.
If one partner feels that they are not being desired by the other, it can be a blow to their self-esteem.
It can make them feel like they are not good enough and that they are not wanted.
This can lead to a lot of emotional pain and conflict and even emotional and full blown infidelity.
There are many ways to improve your sex life in a marriage relationship.
Couples can talk about their needs and desires, spend time together, touch each other more often, and be open and honest with each other.
But that’s usually not enough because it would most likely take one person to lead the dance.
If you are struggling with this issue, please seek help from a therapist, coach or counselor.
They can assist you in working through these feelings and improving your relationship.

What To Do When Your Partner Doesn’t Want To Be Intimate
When your partner doesn’t want to be intimate, it can be a difficult and confusing experience.
You may feel like you’re not good enough or that you’re not attractive in your relationship anymore.
Here Are 5 Things You Can Do To Improve Intimacy:
1. Talk to your partner about why they don’t want to be intimate and try to understand their point of view.
2. Don’t take it personally (this is easier said than done) – remember that this has nothing to do with how much they love you.
3. Don’t pressure your partner into being intimate if they’re not comfortable doing so because desire cannot be negotiated; it can however be influenced if you have the skills.
4. Seek out support from friends or family members who can offer words of encouragement to you if need it; don’t count on them being able to correct your spouse into order.
5. Seek professional help if the situation is causing you significant distress.
Remember that you’re not alone and there are ways to deal with this situation.
Don’t hesitate to reach out for help if you need it.
“Can I Divorce My Wife For Not Sleeping With Me?”
Of course you can divorce your spouse these days for the dumbest reasons.
All you have to do is to claim “irreconcilable differences.”
But of course, I don’t just advice you to just run for the hills at the slightest sight of a slow down in intimacy.
While it may be frustrating if your wife doesn’t want to have sex with you, it’s important to remember that there are many reasons why someone may not be interested in sex.
It Could Be Due To Stress, Fatigue, or Health Issues.
If your wife is unwilling to discuss the issue, then you may want to consult with a therapist to help you understand why she is not interested in sex and work on ways to improve intimacy.
There are many bitter people on the internet that will advice you to just go ahead and kick her to the curb.
You and I know that if it was that easy, you would have done it already.
Don’t compare yourself to people who are so weak to the extent that they never had enough vested interest in a marriage they created in the first place.
Identify if you really want that marriage from a personal standpoint and then move intentionally and accordingly; with the help of good counsel and not random people on the internet.
How Health Issues Can Result in Lack of Physical Intimacy
Many couples struggle with physical intimacy at some point in their relationship.
This can be due to a variety of factors, such as fatigue, stress, or health issues.
When one partner is dealing with health issues leading to a lack of physical intimacy, it might not be as obvious.
Physical intimacy is an important part of a marriage, and when it’s lacking, it can be difficult for both partners.
There are issues that may be hormonal or psychological remnants of health crisis.
Start with a conversation as usual and a healthy does of empathy and that alone can instigate her wanting sex.
“I Just Want My Wife To Want Me But I’ve Heard Many Wives Like Her Hate Sex Eventually.”
Sexual pleasure is an important part of any relationship, and it’s no different for couples in which the wife loves her husband but doesn’t desire him.
This is a temporary issue normally and you next move can make it permanent or temporary; tread carefully.
Even though they’re not physically attracted to each other, these couples can still enjoy a healthy and fulfilling sexual relationship if they’re willing to put in the effort.
For men in this situation, it’s important to understand that sexual pleasure isn’t all about the physical act of sex.
Sexual pleasure actually starts long before the act of sex.
There is a lot more going on even though you may feel as though she hates sex; it’s highly unlikely.
One of the key things when you are going through this is to make sure you are prepared for the opportunity to be intimate when it presents itself again.
When that time comes…
Here Are Additional 5 Tips To Be More Sexually Intimate With Your Wife
Tip #5 – First, try to be more present when you’re together.
And Tip #4 – Pay attention to her body and her reactions when you’re touching her.
Tip #3 – Second, experiment with different types of touch. Try mixing up your routine to keep things fresh; don’t be predictable.
Tip #2 – Third, communicate with your wife about what she enjoys.
Let her know what turns you on, and ask her about her fantasies.
Tip #1 – Lastly, make time for sex.
Dedicate time specifically for intimacy, and make sure that both of you are available for it.
Here is a quick question for you to ponder.
How do you feel about entertaining sex toys in your sex life?
Your answer can make or break your sex life and intimacy; Hint: No answer is right and wrong.
Why Does My Wife Hate Initiating Sex?
There could be many reasons why your wife hates initiating sex.
It could be that she’s not attracted to you, she’s not in the mood, or she’s not feeling well.
If your wife doesn’t initiate sex very often, it might be because she’s not comfortable doing so.
Heck: It can be completely a traditional or cultural issue
Talk to her about how you feel and see if she has any concerns or suggestions.
This is one of those situations where you may want to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your relationship and both of you as individuals.
What I want you to do is to shed more energy and light on the strengths and avoid trying to force the weaknesses with respect to the result that you want.
I would hope that your desired result is simply more sex; more passionate sex.
“My Wife Makes Excuses To Refuse Sex.”
“My wife loves me and always tells me how much she cares for me, but she doesn’t desire me sexually. She makes excuses not to sleep with me, and it’s really starting to take a toll on our relationship. I’m not sure what to do, as I still want to be intimate with her.”
Most Women In Marriage React To Unhappiness In One Or More Ways:
Outside of health issues, she might not feel satisfied with her marriage due to the amount of time spent away from her spouse.
The most recent findings suggest that up to 50 percent of couples who have been married 10 years are dissatisfied with their marriage because they report feeling frustrated and unfulfilled.
This is a rather strong reason why most women in marriage do not want sex – it’s as if they’re trying to protect themselves from being hurt again by refusing sex.
To a large extent, this can be subconscious.
Most women refuse sex because they are afraid of getting too close, only for them to continue to feel unhappy in the marriage down the road anyway.
It’s like “why bother?”
The First Step Is Always To Talk To Your Spouse About The Issue.
If that doesn’t work, you may want to engage your seduction power as a woman; that starts with self-assessment.
What turned him on to you in the first place?
What turns him on to you right now?
What turns you on?
Once you find out the answer to all 3 of these questions, then you will find everything else useful in rekindling things.
How To Deal With A Sexless Marriage As A Woman
Dealing with a sexless marriage as a woman can be difficult, but there are ways to cope.
First, it’s important to understand that there is no shame in having a sexless marriage.
It’s not your fault, and you’re not alone.
There are many couples who experience this problem and therefore there are many solutions and options.
In Conclusion
It’s normal for most women to lose interest in their husbands after some time and over time.
This doesn’t mean that the love is gone, just the desire may be absent.
There are many things you can do to help boost your wife’s desire and attraction towards you again.
By leveraging some of the simple tips we’ve covered, you can rekindle the flame and have a more fulfilling marriage.
Here is a last bonus tip for you.
If you are always engaged in arguments that you may have considered a harmless debate, that can sure create lower interest and desire from your spouse; It can get weird from time to time.
What a confusion right?
Are women crazy?
How do you love a husband you donโt desire?
I was on the receiving end of those resentments she mentioned earlier and it was not fun as you can probably imagine.
We got married and I flipped my legs on the table and just relaxed like most new husbands.
After all, we are now committed to each other for life.
A certain type of love required for all marriages is a choice.
However, desire, affection, and attraction are symptoms of a certain consistent way of showing up in your marriage as a man.
A typical wife has a lot on her plate and simply doesn’t get to decide if they want to desire you or not.
Think about it.
In the beginning of your love affair, your wife desired you without knowing enough about you.
Although, it wasnโt controlled. It was an attraction.
So we can agree that desire in a marriage is not some logical decision.
At least, thatโs not reality.
With proper support itโs absolutely possible because we are a testimony.
But you will have to engage your power and itโs impossible when you are playing the victim.

Can a marriage survive without desire?
A marriage without desire can be a difficult situation to navigate. While it is possible for a marriage to survive without desire, it is often an uphill battle. Without the passion that comes with desire, couples may find that they are unable to connect on an emotional level, leading to a lack of communication and understanding.
How to deal with lack of intimacy as a man?
Dealing with a lack of intimacy as a man starts with resisting the urge to take it as a permanent judgment of your worth. Many men immediately internalize rejection and assume they’re no longer attractive, loved, or valued, but intimacy often reflects the overall health of the relationship rather than one person’s desirability.
In this lesson, we are about to dive in through the story of a 28 years old guy
who is married to a 33 years old with a brand new baby and the blue balls syndrome.
Letโs call him Felix.
He writes…
โMy wife and I have been together for about 6 years, married for 2 and we have an almost 1 year old child.
My wife has had a reasonably exciting sexual past, and one thing that really stood out to me…
when we first started dating was how in control and proud of her sexuality she was.ย
She was always full of confidence, dressed to impress and was unapologetic about going after anything she wanted, whether that was sexually or just for fun.โ
Before I continue into this story, let me introduce myself.
My name is LOLA and I am the co-author of the book
By your own words, you give up while attempting to initiate sex.
You can at least agree that there is nothing sexy about giving up and more especially the vibes and energy that accompanies that right?
Instead of giving up and continuing to play the victim,
I want you to leverage this moment of your life and marriage to engage your personal life mission and purpose first.
This may be something about your ambitions, career or some charity work that makes you feel fulfilled as a person.
It will leave you little to no room to keep feeling sorry for yourself while you are simultaneously giving your relationship some breathing room.
Now I want you to keep initiating sex but by practicing 3 steps forward and 2 steps backward.
There is nothing sexier than a man whose wife feels safe enough to say โnot today babeโ while still trusting that he will be confident enough to initiate at some point.
That will even leave her some sense of obligation at the back of her mind and she may initiate before the next time you initiate.
If she doesnโt, youโve decided to make that a non-big deal (engaging and retaining your masculine core and power) and try later.
She will naturally overcompensate for your patience later in the form of hot sex when she is ready to receive you back to back.
In this next lesson, I will reveal how this works in detailโฆ

โWe’ve tried to slowly reinitiate things, particularly when I’m away for work.
We’ve tried to send a few exciting spontaneous messages here and there.
We’ve started using an app where you essentially ‘match’ fetishes or sexual ideas with your partner
(i.e. only notified if they like the same thing as you, it’s pretty cool.)ย
At one point, she even bought a new toy while I was away,
and kind of awkwardly apologized that it was a toy just for her and wouldn’t really be all that fun to use together.ย
I was stoked and said she never needs to apologise for that! I thought this might’ve been the catalyst we needed.
Fast forward the entire 2 months we were apart, and she hadn’t used it once.โ
Reason #2 – โWeโ Donโt Seduce
There is so much โweโ this and โweโ that and it leaves me to wonder,
who is the seducer in this equation if what you want is more sex?
If you compete in feminine energy with your lady, it kills sexual polarity.
What you are suffering from is partly low libido due to childbirth causing lower attraction in your marriage which is temporary.
This is not abnormal; weโve been through the same thing.
Itโs a process to get out of the limbo but it can be a faster process when you engage your seduction power which starts way before the bedroom.
Seduce more, initiate less and watch better sex come back into your marriage.
Letโs continue to read…
He continues…
โOccasionally we eventually have a really difficult but healthy conversation about our sex life,
and we walk away feeling great for it…but nothing really changes.
For the past 12 months or so, we go through a bit of a regular cycle.
I try to initiate things at a pretty low level to rekindle a bit of excitement.
It gets shot down over a period of 2-3 weeks, and my anxiety slowly escalates.
I ruminate on the past fortnight, and the past 2 years and get frustrated.
My mood dives, my wife asks what’s wrong, we have a bit of a chat (about all the same old things),
have a bit of intimacy (although, not sex)ย
And I feel like she walks away relieved that she’s hit “reset”
and can now hopefully go another 2 or 3 weeks without needing to be intimate with me.ย
As youโve probably realized, the more you talk about this, the less sex you are having.
By now, you are just predictable; the mood patterns and swings are probably predictable AF.
Talking so much in the name of conversations in an attempt to increase intimacy is feminine energy.
When sheโs asking you whatโs wrong, she wasnโt faking it.
Itโs a way for her to protect your household when it seems like you are falling apart as the masculine core in the relationship.
While thatโs very nice of her, itโs killing sexual polarity even further.
So thatโs not where you want your lady.
You want her to be able to count on you even in the midst of this crisis
and thatโs part of the process of seducing her back into crazy intimate sessions.
Rejection breeds obsession so you are not abnormal but this is how to rise above the norm
as opposed to using blame, guilt, condemnation and judgment to make matters worse.
